So far May precip totals .91”. Normal for the month is 3.17”.

 

The lake is 14.09 ft below full with an elevation of 2737.91 ft above sea level, 48% of capacity. Since the last report (May 5) the lake had a increase in elevation of .13”.  Since the first of the year the lake has gained 2.82’ in elevation. This is the highest the lake has been since July 2000. Surface area of the lake is now 3,314 acres. When compared to last year, this year is  .86’ HIGHER and has 2,816 acre feet MORE volume.  The lake is now .77’ above the high mark for 2007 (2737.14 on June 22).  It is also 13.61 above the previous all time low of 2724.30 set on August 27, 2002.

 Fishing has picked up with some nice size wipers being reported. Catfish also remain active. Boat fishing has been producing catfish in the shallow waters of the west end.
